Octopi is proud to combine the talents of our very own Ian Trump, and our experience supporting and building the environment for one of Canada's largest Youth Cyber Security Competition.

Ian is an ITIL certified IT professional with 25 years of experience in IT security and information technology. From 1989 to 1992, Ian served with the Canadian Forces (CF), Military Intelligence Branch; in 2002, he joined the CF Military Police Reserves and retired as a Public Affairs Officer in 2013. After a year with the RCMP as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, Ian worked as a cybersecurity analyst/consultant for multi-national insurance, banking, and regional health care. As Head of Cyber Security for AmTrust International, a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial Services Inc (AFSI), Ian has deep experience with the threats facing small, medium and enterprise businesses. His research and experience have made him a sought-after cybersecurity consultant specializing in cyber threat intelligence programs for small, medium and enterprise organizations. Ian is proud to educate and help fledgling and senior professionals become more advanced in the Cybersecurity and IT world.

CyberTitan operates in affiliation with the (US) Air Force Association's CyberPatriot Program which is presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation. CyberTitan is focused on preparing middle and secondary school students with skills for the digital economy by creating learning opportunities for students to engage in hands-on simulated environments that develop skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education programs, to learn skills essential to work in many STEM fields, and to identify roles students can play help to secure our systems. Helping develop and manage the environment and networking for Cybertitan has helped us better understand how to build an environment for educational and developmental purposes, we think it would be a waste to not leverage these skills to help educate others on Cybersecurity and IT.
